Updates!!!

2007 Nueva Ecija Red Cross Youth Summit

With all the necessary preparations, the opening activity for the celebration of the Red Cross Youth Month (October 2007) pushed through with ease. The RCY Summit was cenceptualized by the NE RCY Dept. with the AUPEN Supreme Red Cross Youth Council to have the opening salvo of the youth celebration.

It was a resounding success with a total attendance of 79 youth leaders and 11 advisers who discussed issues and concerns with regards the Chapter Red Cross Youth activities and RCY activities per council.

The councils who attended the Summit were: Sta. Rosa HS Senior RCY (10 officers, 1 adviser), NEUST- Lab HS Senior RCY (5 officers, 1 adviser), NEUST-Sumacab College RCY (5 officers, 1 adviser), CORE Gateway Colleges HS Senior RCY (8 officers, 2 advisers), NEUST-Main College RCY (12 officers, 1 adviser), Nueva Ecija HS Senior RCY (9 officers, 2 advisers), HCPSM Science HS Senior RCY (13 officers, 1 adviser), Wesleyan University-Phils. College RCY (5 officers), Bongabon NHS Senior RCY (3 officers, 2 advisers) and the host council AUPEN Supreme RCY (6 officers).

Updates and reports regarding the status of the Youth Program from 2006 to present was presented by the CSR-RCY, Mr. Francis Albert B. Mendoza, followed by the presentation of activities by the AUPEN Supreme RCY and WUP College RCY, discussed by Darren Robin J. Gonzales and Gladys G. Austria, respectively.

In the afternoon, a planning session which approved thr conduct of the RCY 4th Friendship Day on November 17, 2007 to be hosted by NEUST-LHS Senior RCY and on December 15, 2007 the 3rd RCY Congress at Wesleyan University-Philippines. The meeting was presided by CYC President Angel Arcie O. Canicosa and CYC Finance Manager Krisgel Abes.
